"I was born the same year as
Slash. He got the cool name, the mane
and the girls and I got....can
we take 5?"
ACT 1
One summer, around the same time that Dylan shocked the world
and was booed offstage at the Newport Folk Festival for playing
an electric guitar, Tom and Mary Anne Farley had other more important
things on their mind - namely the arrival of their most recent
boy-child whom they decided to call Kevin.
ACT 2
From an early age it was obvious that Kevin had a gift: he was
funny; he had a way with words; he was a genius onstage; he had
no shame about wearing funny costumes. So, after majoring in
business at Marquette University in Milwaukee, he did what any
sane man would do, followed his muse, and for the next six years
joined the family business selling asphalt.
Like all salesmen Kevin was soon in therapy and, in one breakthrough
session was struck by a divine vision: "I realized that wearing
leotards to work, telling jokes and pulling funny faces was something
that worked much better in Hollywood than in the asphalt business.
I went home that night, dumped all my unsold asphalt out on the
street, and bought a one-way ticket to California."
Before you could say, "Don't call us; we'll call you!" Kevin
had appeared in a string of hit movies: TOMMY BOY, BLACK SHEEP,
BEVERLY HILLS NINJA, THE WATERBOY, THE STRAIGHT STORY and JOE
DIRT. Though the chance to play Hamlet still eluded him another
arrow was added to his quiver when he was cast to play Doug the
fifth member of MTV's hit sensation Boy Band 2gether. Remarkably
up until this breakthrough moment nobody knew what an extraordinary
singing voice Kevin owned.
Kevin is now happily married and lives under the E in the Hollywood
sign.
ACT 3
Kevin is hoping that Callback will be such a success that he can
afford a ticket back to visit Madison, Wisconsin - his Mom and
Dad sure do miss him.
